The Awaited Arrival...

We just want everyone to know that our baby boy has arrived! He has a name finally too after 2 1/2 days in the hospital. GAVIN SCOTT BECK was born Friday, March 27th at 9:02a.m. He weighed 6 lbs 1 oz, and is 18.5 inches. Little guy! We are finally home after 3 days in the hospital. It will be a longer recovery road than we expected, but we are so grateful for modern medicine and great healthcare! I had to be induced due to high blood pressure and concerns of toxemia and eclampsia. The delivery went well, but then I had a retained placenta and had to have it removed. I lost over 4 units of blood or twice what most women lose during pregnancy. They almost gave me a blood transfusion, but decided to allow my body to regenerate on its own. I'm home safe but the recovery will take 2-3 weeks. Thank you Dr. Ainsworth and fabulous nurses at Feather River Hospital!!! We'll post pics soon, but right now just know we are so excited for Gavin's arrival and enjoying his presence in our home! We can't believe we're parents!  Thank you for all your love and if we haven't returned your call or email, we will soon, we're just trying to get settled in and recovered. We are so in LOVE with GAVIN!!!
